Line drawing of the three versions of primary cornice showing hierarchy of scale

Shown below are some views of the primary cornice.
The cornice is fabricated in GFRC because of weight and attachment considerations relative to its volume.

The ball cornice

Studio shot of ball cornice patterns. The molding pattern at lower right is a piece of the dentil frieze used to transit an outside corner.

Sections of the GFRC cornice in the yard showing the hollow interior as well as the antique texture.

The GFRC cornice occur in various configurations throughout the residence. The collision of forms is by design not accident, however, the intention is to reflect the interesting mishaps of sculptural form due to the struggle and growth of a structure over time.
