1989 Fertita Residence
LasVegas, Nevada

Architect: Ken Rochetti
Interior Designer: Anita Brooks

In 1986, Robert Boucher was approached to create a work for the entry portico of a grand villa in Las Vegas designed by Ken Ronchetti.

Anita Brooks and the client settled on Robert's proposal for a neo-classical fragment of an imaginary temple reconstructed as if in a museum environment. This 12' high, 15' long, 4000 pound Greco-Roman piece floats upon the wall as a discovered artifact in an elegant atrium.

This fantasy work incorporates a section of "The Triumpal Entry of Alexander into Babylon" by Bertel Thorvaldsen as the frieze below the cornice. The rest of the pieces within the work were created anew.

Cast in calcium silica aluminate and patinaed by hand.
